The KSD series thermostat operates on the principle of bimetal discs that snap into action when temperature changes occur. This snap action activates internal contacts to open or close the circuit. Key features include fixed working temperature, reliable snap action, minimal flashover, long service life, and low radio interference.

KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types

Manual Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. When temperature reaches the action range, the disc snaps open to disconnect. Requires manual reset button press (4-6N force) after temperature drops 20°C to reconnect circuit. Minimum 20.4mm clearance required between reset button and cover.

Auto Reset Type: Uses bimetallic strip temperature sensing. Automatically resets and resumes operation when temperature drops to specified level.
