This snap action activates the internal contacts, ultimately controlling the circuit by opening or closing it. KSD301 Auto Reset vs Manual Reset Types
Manual Reset Type
Temperature sensing components consist of bimetallic strip. When temperature reaches the action range, it snaps quickly and the movable disc disconnects. When temperature declines to a fixed point, the contact cannot reset until the reset button is pressed to reconnect the circuit.
  • This type can reset when temperature declines 20°C after snap action by pressing the reset button (4-6 N force recommended)
  • To ensure normal function, distance between reset button and close cover should not be less than 20.4mm
Auto Reset Type
Temperature sensing components consist of bimetallic strip. When temperature reaches the action range, it snaps quickly and the movable disc disconnects. When temperature declines to a fixed point, the contact automatically resets and resumes operation.
